Our annual Artists Choice juried art exhibition is an open call to all artists to submit up to 3, 2-D and 3-D pieces of original art for consideration.   Awards of $300 for best of show, $200 for runner-up and $100 for 3rd place will be given.  A special invitational award given by the Bonifas Art Center of Escanaba will showcase one artist in its gallery.  A special $100.00 members award will be given to one entry from a member of SAAC, and will be selected by the SAAC Gallery Committee (become a SAAC member HERE).  

 

The juror for this show will be Victoria Hussey.  Victoria is a visual artist and art educator at the high school level. She earned her MFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art and currently lives in Southeast Michigan. Although she enjoys working with various materials, her work is continually inspired by the beauty and serenity of natural landscapes.  http://www.victoriahussey.com

Requirements

• Artwork must be original. (No reproductions, patterns, or kits accepted. Printed media must be hand-pulled by the artist.)

• There are no size limitations, although size might become a consideration upon final selections.

• Artwork must be labeled with artist's name and title of work (on the back of 2D work, at the base of 3D work). Please indicate top of work.

• Work must be ready to safely hang/display (no sawtooth hangers please).

• Olive M. Craig Gallery will retain 30% commission on all works sold for non-Sault Area Arts Center members or 20% for members.  To become a member, CLICK HERE

• Artwork may not be removed from the exhibit prior to the closing date.

• Please indicate price of work and if not for sale, label "NFS".
