August at Alberta House features the art of Metalworker, Bill Morrison, and Mixed Media Painter, Charles Colbert. Both artists are retired from teaching. Bill taught metal sculpture/ blacksmithing, pottery and drawing in the local schools.  Charles is a retired Professor of Art History.  Bill went on to produce custom ironworks at Spruce Forge. Several of these pieces can be viewed around the city. A sculpted Garden Gate and a handcrafted, personalized Metal Bench, grace the garden at Alberta House. Charles evolved from teaching and writing about Art to creating his own art. His exhibit, a Retrospective, chronicles the progression of his work from 2012-2023.
